One of the (rare ) South Wales Train watching spots on the South Wales Mainline, since electrification ,spoilt so many hot spots in the area. With views remarkably similar to Rugeley Trent Valley and Acton Bridge the field of view West is fantastic, and a great variety of London and Cardiff bound 800 units mixed with Nottingham ,Cheltenham and west Country destinations plus freight in and out o...
Cog Road Extension , Madeira Sidings
Просмотров 470Год назад
HI Everybody ,I was able to widen the hidden area of Cog Road, which has given me a 10ft long by 1 ft area to fit 5 decent length holding sidings and headshunt . I then decided to scenify the area it thats the right word, so it is still a work in progress but certainly adds a satisfying interest to the layout.. The backscene is a bit flat but I did not have any extra depth, so will keep disguis...
Welsh Freight Cwmbargoed on the edge and Big Spender
Просмотров 327Год назад
With Cwmbargoed Open cast ( Ffos y Fran) due to finish in September, we look back to a short video i took in 2012 where we see 2 loaded trains preparing to leave 66087 and 66074 , the only time I saw 2 loaded trains there at the same time. Listen to the driver of 66087 sending off the tones to 66074 with the intro of Shirley Basseys' "BIG SPENDER."

British Rail Tamworth Station, When it all comes together

29th September 2003 ,20 years ago a location I frequently visited then and still do, but this day was one of the best , as I say It All Came Together, Although class 86s had just been phased out on passenger we still had class 87/90 working intensely on Virgin trains, and along with class 92s and 47s ,86/6s mixed in with 66s and Network Rail vehicles ,even a Bubble car it was certainly a great ...

British Rail Freight and Mail in South Wales in 2000
Просмотров 864Год назад
On 2 nice summer Evenings in July 2000, spent a few hours at Coedkernew between Cardiff and Newport recording the frequent Mail Trains and busy Freight on this 4 track stretch. the class 67s had well and truly taken over the mail and parcels with only one class 47 appearing. This was another Rail Hotspot at the time and wouldn't have to wait long until something came your way, not the same now ...

Very nice operation!
Superb video, love the variety of liveries which was so typical for this period!
First time I’ve seen this layout; absolutely brilliant! Thanks for posting this video!
Thanks,glad you enjoyed it.
Headcode boxes? Not sure about that. Protruding too much.
Awesome, love the dull grimy colours and the telegraph wires, don't see them modelled often
Thanks .
Station canopies are fabulous !
Thank you
Another great video from you. Green diesels look just right but I did not appreciate them when they were replacing steam back in the day. Great weathering
Appreciate your comments,thanks.
Another Cog Road classic! Thank you, I love the green diesels shot at the beginning. Cog Road never disappoints!
Thanks so much.
Always a joy to see the layout in action Brian. The Parcels combo looks amazing with the weathering and ‘3’ head code.
Many thanks!
When the West Coast main line had proper trains......
Too true.
Hi Brian, this is very nicely filmed footage! Can I ask which camera you used? It looks very good for the time. Thanks! :)
Thanks , trying to remember which model, I still have it in the attic, will check next time I go up , I think it was a Hitachi hi 8.
@@BrianTuckerRailvideos Thanks so much! :)
Nostalga over load
Thanks
Nice memories someone bothered to capture in time.
Yes certainly was.
Great work Brian .. thos is a brilliant location to catch the trains, isn't it ? Especially the sections of line approaching Heamies Farm
Thanks, Great train watching place, haven’t been there for a few years though.
@@BrianTuckerRailvideos likewise .. I was lucky enough to go there before the DB90s were stood down - ruclips.net/video/8yoMuRQyfXQ/видео.htmlsi=KTb8KOt2M0NT6dcO

Great Shunting. Loved it Bernie

What is the problem with the 08 and what make is the model.
Great video. Wonderful layout, just wish I could get anywhere near to the detailing. Reminded me that I need to get my 08 repaired. Any recommendations who could look at it?
What is the problem with it and what manufacturer.
Hi Brian. Motor turns but appears to be a problem with gears. It's a Hornby, by the way. I'm not confident to have a go myself. Are you going to Port Talbot tomorrow. I'm hitching a lift with Roger and Reg. Mike.
I just missed the sixties but I bet it wasn’t far off this. So many points of focus. Always a fascinating watch 👍
Thanks for your comments
Mesmerising to watch Brian, there's not one piece of detailing that you've missed out...Absolutely stunning as always...Bob
Thanks Bob , glad your getting enjoyment from them.......regards as always...Brian
A cracking video, really enjoyed it, can’t beat seeing a good old 08 in action doing what it does best. 😃
Absolutely,thanks for your comments.
@@BrianTuckerRailvideos no problem keep up the good work
Nice running session, thank you. The street of rear terraced houses look really good. Great weathering.
Thanks 👍much appreciated.
Some Aspirational detailing skills on show here. Brilliant 🤩
Thanks a lot for your kind comments
great video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for another great video! Great stock and weathering. I never tire of watching running shots of your fantastic layout! Regards, Karl
Thank you very much! Karl will post more soon.
We need more videos of your D600 locomotive running with the dcc sound
Thanks will do, I have 4, 2 with sound, will sort something out soon
Such great detail all over, Love it 👍
Thanks a lot
I always enjoy watching your videos of Cog Road Brian, your attention to detail is outstanding as are your building skills....Best wishes....Bob
Thanks Bob doing this reminds me of the good old days,my enthusiasm for the current scene leaves me cold most of the time, stay well my friend 👍
Well done Good slow speed running. Very realistic. Thanks. More?
Thanks a lot,will do
Just superb
Thank you
That class 45 is on my list. Which make us that one? I recently purchased a Lima Class 37 and it runs great
It’s a Heljan 45 , thanks for your comments
Lovely layout
Thanks very much
Great looking layout Brian and nice collection of locos and rolling stock. The variety of buildings both full and low relief are really very good and provide an extra depth of field for the viewer, did you scratch build any of them or are they kits? Well done👍
Many thanks!,the fuelling point is scratchbuilt, some of the low relief are Walthers kits plus a couple of Bachmann, the crew office at Madeira sidings is scratchbuilt ,loads of lineside clutter are leftover bits and pieces...cheers
Hi Brian Great to see another of your superb running sessions, I always feel the need to play trains after seeing these. What speakers are in your peak, mines got iPhone speakers and biffo sound, amazing. Take care Paul 😊👍
Thanks..From Roads and Rails megabass speaker.
Awesome level of detail here - congrats 🙌🏻
Thank you 🙌much appreciated.
Great to see such realistic operation. So many layout owners either don't understand this facet of railway modelling or don't care. Great video.
Is it particularly realistic? There's an express passenger train stopping for no obvious reason at 1:35, a massive SPAD at 5:07.
Thanks for your comments.
@@beeble2003it’s my model railway and it’s not real .
@@BrianTuckerRailvideos Absolutely. I wouldn't have said anything, except for the person saying that the operation was super-realistic and criticizing pretty much everybody else for failing to "understand" or "care".
Fair enough.
I love your layout! I model the same WR era but in N gauge. The weathered stock and gritty realism are superb. More please!!
Thank you! Will do!,thanks for your comments.
That 25 with sound. Is is Bachmann or SLW? Thank You
Hi,neither , I’m pretty sure it’s a SWD CHIP I transferred from another model with an enhanced bass speaker…if that helps.
@@BrianTuckerRailvideos cheers
loved it
Thanks a lot
Great vid
Thanks
WOW ... 😳 ... What a gorgeous layout!!!
Thanks
This is amazing! Love seeing 47s on freight
Thanks
Really excellent modern image model railway layout.Supremely well observed prototype scenes and beautifully modelled in OO gauge. Many scale-length trains - a joy to watch. Thanks a lot for sharing.
A pleasure,thanks.
It’s now been 21 years since this clip was filmed
0:28 as of today there’s no track as you can see to the left side of the screen that’s all removed as of now and so has the cross over points that’s been removed as well
I still go to Tamworth a lot mainly because of railtours
Is this trent vally line or from stafford to crewe or is it the passing Stafford to via stoke with avanti going manchester and 350 going crewe
nice
Wow , fantastic work . Winter scenes are very tricky to do with not much out there to help . I do a Christmas train winter scene under the tree every year and would love to know how you do some of that
Hi , I used a few different methods, from deluxe materials and Noche ,they do shovelled snow and lose snow , this can be seived over trees and foliage. You can make icicles from model water laid on grease proof paper let it harden and then cut into icicle strips and peel off the grease proof paper Use glitter to sprinkle over the snow ,just a couple of tips.
Thanks , I will look into those things
